Neil Jones

Neil is currently lead writer on the hit CBBC/Netflix show The Worst Witch. Other recent work includes Netflix's Emmy Award-winning Free Rein, CBBC's Wolfblood and Rocket's Island, and Disney's The Evermoor Chronicles and The Lodge. He is in development with several original projects.

His other children's TV work includes the Nickelodeon smash House of Anubis and CBBC's much-loved Grange Hill, for which he wrote many episodes including the last ever.

For adults, Neil co-created Bedlam, the supernatural drama produced by Red Productions for Sky, which ran for two series. He has written episodes of Blue Murder, Waterloo Road, The Bill and many others. He was a Brookside regular for two years and scripted the show's spin-off movie Unfinished Business. Neil began his career with over 70 episodes of Hollyoaks, including the first, controversial late-night special Breaking Boundaries.
