Jonathan R Hall

Jonathan's multi-award-winning feature film SOLO!, is now available on iTunes and Amazon - a low-budget, but wildly ambitious, joyful, musical romantic comedy, filmed in Valencia. Jonathan co-wrote the feature film Fireworks, the first non-US winner of the American Screenwriters' Association Script Competition Grand Prize, and has written/produced 2 award-winning short films, In the Mood, a comedy starring Kelly Brook, and Mr Thornton's Change of Heart starring Nicholas Grace and Annette Badland. Another short, Me or the Dog was funded by the Wellcome Trust, starring Edward Hogg and Martin Clunes. His feature, Buttered Side Up, was shortlisted for the Orange Pathe Prize and the Intermedia/Mirage Comedy Prize.

Jonathan is now working on two diverse projects: Elemental, a conservation-minded family film set in Namibia; and The Paul Bearers, a black comedy, set over a single night in London.

In other genres Jonathan is a regular writer on Doctors (BBC), and was nominated for best episode at the Soap Awards. His World Cup monologue was performed by Johnny Vegas on Radio 5 Live.
