Julian Perkins

Recently working for Emmerdale, Julian is a sought-after writer of serials and series. He was sole writer on the EastEnders high-profile 4-parter about the Mathew and Steve murder trial, which received that year's highest audience figure of over 21 million viewers. As a lead writer on The Bill Julian storylined the 'Serial Killer' strand, and his episode Feet of Clay received excellent reviews notably in The Guardian. He currently has a number of television and radio projects in development, including a 90-minute drama and a comedy drama series.

Julian's credits include Murphy's Law, Murder in Suburbia, the final episode of MIT, (Series 1), Grafters and a good number of episodes for Byker Grove.

Within his portfolio is a 60 minute feature film, Back Into the Wild. His numerous theatre and radio productions include the much-acclaimed Images of Tiffin, which won several awards; and Appropriate Channels written for Alan Ayckbourn.
