Samuel Hutchinson

Sam has a first feature film,The Peeper, in development with International Emmy Award-winning producers, David Barnes & Louise Lynch (David & Goliath Industries). His pre-school TV pilot (co-writer Lucia Davies), One Stop Non-Stop Party Shop, is in development with Libra Television. He has been long-listed for the BBC Writersroom Scriptroom 12 (Drama) scheme 2017.

Since graduating from Bournemouth University's 'Scriptwriting for Film & Television' degree, Sam has worked as a script reader for the BBC, Carnival Films and Peck Entertainment (Hollywood producer, Mitchell Peck.) Sam gained his first TV credit as script consultant on BBC 2's drama, Sleeping Lions, which was nominated for numerous awards, including a Children's BAFTA.

Sam's own projects include Charmers, a dark TV drama following a London hotel manager forced to confront a grim haunting. His short film, Top Hat was selected for numerous festivals and played on US Television Channel, Shorts HD, as an Editor's pick. Sam also produces/co-writes comedy panel show podcast, A Little Bit Racey, which he promotes on BBC Radio Sheffield's Liveish with Bernie Clifton, and which was a finalist for 'Best UK Podcast' at the New Media Europe Awards 2016.
